Allegheny Health Network
West Penn Hospital's new "NicView" web cameras, installed in late 2016, allow parents to view their babies 24/7 at the hospital's NICU. The 41-camera system feeds to a secure online portal. West Penn’s 43-bed Level III NICU is a major referral center for critically ill or premature infants. Last year, AHN hospitals delivered more than 7,300 babies, including more than 4,000 at West Penn.
In 2016, the National Football League selected AHN doctors to serve as independent neurotrauma consultants during Pittsburgh Steelers games at Heinz Field. AHN neurosurgeons and physicians provided game-day concussion assessments to injured players on both sidelines.

Visionworks has grown to include more than 700 retail optical stores in 41 states and the District of Columbia.
Davis Vision's year-over-year network growth was 18 percent in 2016, with 63,008 points of vision care access available to members. The company processed over 6.7 million claims, with over 98 percent of those at in-network locations, demonstrating that the members value their benefits.
Since 2009, Visionworks and Davis Vison have donated more than $10 million in free vision screenings, eye exams and eyeglasses to children.

United Concordia Dental's Advantage Plus 2.0 network is one of the nation's largest with more than 98,000 unique dentists at more than 339,000 access points.
United Concordia Dental has a 95% member retention rate. When United Concordia Dental brings on a new client, it establishes a long-standing relationship with the customer and its members.
Through dental outreach sponsorships, United Concordia Dental provided free dental care to more than 10,000 patients who receive services valued at more than $10 million in 2016.
HM Health Solutions
Members managed by HM Health Solutions grew to over 9.7 million — 2 million members were added to the platform through our partnership with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota.
HM Health Solutions grew revenue by 34 percent in 2016.
HM Health Solutions processed over 150 million claims in 2016 on behalf of its health plan customers.
Charitable Foundations
Highmark Foundation provided nearly $3 million in funding in 2016 to support initiatives that educate and improve the overall well-being of the communities served by Highmark Inc. and its subsidiaries and affiliates in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
More than 6,000 butterflies were filled with messages of hope for grieving children in honor of Children’s Grief Awareness Day, 2016.
Allegheny Health Network (AHN) sponsored 44 community walks and runs last year, and nearly 200 organizations received sponsorship in 2016 from AHN and its affiliated foundations.
