The Health Plans are supported by more than 92,200 in-network physicians; in 2020, the Health Plans processed more than 188 million claims on behalf of customers.

Highmark Inc. and its Blue-branded affiliates remain among the largest Blue Plans in the country, with more than 6 million members in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and West Virginia, along with western and northeastern New York.
In 2020, the Health Plans processed more than 3.3 million telehealth claims for telehealth — an increase of about 3,400% compared to 2019.
Allegheny Health Network
In 2020, AHN administered about 107,000 COVID-19 tests.
To meet increased patient demand during COVID-19 for virtual medicine and online care, in 2020, AHN carried out nearly 500,000 telehealth encounters.
In 2020, AHN opened two more Healthy Food Centers, one at Allegheny General Hospital and another at Jefferson Hospital. The centers act as a “food pharmacy” where patients who lack access to food can receive nutritious food items, education on disease-specific diets, and additional services for other social challenges they might face.
Because of the worldwide shortage of fully assembled COVID-19 test kits that occurred in early 2020, AHN and Highmark Health employees volunteered to assemble their own, completing 137,000 sample collection kits.
HM Health Solutions
HMHS serviced more than 10 million members of separate health plans via the Enterprise Health Solution.
HMHS supports all lines of health care business: national, large/small group, individual, ACA, Medicaid, and Medicare Advantage.
HM Insurance Group

In 2020, HM Insurance Group paid out $541.1 million in total claims, including 64 claims of more than $1 million.
In 2020, HM Insurance Group directed approximately $338,100 in donations to more than 45 charitable organizations that assist community members in need.
United Concordia Dental
United Concordia Dental’s network includes 126,000 unique dentists across 398,000 access points.
The company has 9.1 million members and more than 22,000 commercial clients.
United Concordia Dental administers the voluntary dental benefits program for more than 1.8 million uniformed service active duty family members, and National Guard and Reserve members and their families enrolled in the TRICARE Dental Program (TDP).
Corporate Social Responsibility
Highmark Inc. and its Blue-branded affiliates provided over $21 million in grants and sponsorships in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and West Virginia.
Highmark Foundation provided nearly $3 million in funding to support initiatives that addressed chronic disease, family health, and service delivery systems in the communities served by Highmark Inc. and its subsidiaries and affiliates in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
Allegheny Health Network provided nearly $1 million in funding in 2020 to support community health and economic development initiatives to improve the overall well-being of the communities served across its campuses.
