Based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the company has licensed entities in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico, and offers the marketplace more than 45 years of experience.

Drawing on market-leading research, United Concordia Dental is building innovative dental solutions that reinforce the important role oral health plays in total health, while delivering access to high-quality, cost-effective dental care.

As a founding member of the Harvard Initiative on Integrating Oral Health and Medicine, United Concordia Dental is helping foster a discussion and identify strategies to improve oral and total health. Chief Dental Officer Quinn Dufurrena, DDS, JD, is a member of the Dean's Advisory Board at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine.

In 2020, United Concordia Dental designed a Medicare Advantage dental network to expand access for individuals 65 and over. United Concordia Dental's ability to build a Medicare Advantage network is another example of the company's commitment to designing flexible and creative solutions that meet the changing needs of its customers.

United Concordia Dental has a long-standing tradition of supporting the communities it serves. In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, United Concordia Dental provided over $18 million for personal protective equipment (PPE) to help protect the safety of its members and dentists; refunded 50% of an average monthly premium payment, totaling almost $20 million to its fully insured customers; and donated over $220,000 to community organizations where it does business to help those in need due to the pandemic.

United Concordia Dental’s network includes 126,000 unique dentists across 398,000 access points.

The company has 9.1 million members and more than 22,000 commercial clients.

United Concordia Dental administers the voluntary dental benefits program for more than 1.8 million uniformed service active duty family members, and National Guard and Reserve members and their families enrolled in the TRICARE Dental Program (TDP).
