Overview

Headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, HM Health Solutions (HMHS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Highmark Health, delivers business solutions to health plan payers to administer business more efficiently and effectively in a competitive and ever-changing market. HMHS' offering is the Enterprise Health Solution, which combines an integrated platform, proven business processes, and experienced people supporting all aspects of a health plan's operations.

In 2018, HMHS' more than 3,500 employees provided services to 13 health plans and served 10.3 million members. Health plans already using the Enterprise Health Solution include AmeriHealth, AmeriHealth New Jersey, Gateway Health Plan, a leading health insurance company in the Philadelphia region, and several separate health plans that serve members in various states, including Delaware, Minnesota, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Wyoming. The Enterprise Health Solution supports every health care line of business. This allows health plan customers to use one platform for all lines of business, saving costs as well as opening the door to markets that may have previously gone untapped.

Of the many initiatives HMHS completed for its customers, one that stands out in 2018 was with a leading health insurance company in the Philadelphia region. The health plan's goal was to close gaps in care to create better outcomes for members, and HMHS helped them do that in a short time period.
