"Chip" Merkel and Chief Dental Officer Quinn Dufurrena, DDS, JD, are members of the Dean's Advisory Board at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine.

In 2018, United Concordia Dental and Highmark Health, the parent company of Highmark Inc., implemented new strategic collaborations with insurance companies in North Dakota and Wyoming.
