PITTSBURGH (February 10, 2022) — Highmark Health, a national blended health organization comprised of one of America's largest health insurers and a 14-hospital integrated delivery network, has been named to the Forbes list of America's Best Employers 2022. Presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., the prestigious list of 500 large employers and 500 midsize employers was evaluated through an independent survey applied to a sample of approximately 60,000 American workers.
Employing more than 37,000 people, Highmark Health was honored as part of the Best Large Employers category among the top 5 of ranking health insurers. Anonymous participants worked full-time or part-time at a business with at least 1,000 employees and evaluated employers based on 6 key drivers: atmosphere at work and potential for development, image, working conditions, salary and wages, workplace, and diversity.

The evaluation was based on direct responses from American workers who were asked to rate their willingness to recommend their own employers to friends and family. Respondents were also asked to nominate organizations other than their own, as well as identify organizations they would not recommend to others.
