Highmark Health and its subsidiaries and affiliates comprise a national health and wellness enterprise that ranks as the third largest integrated health care delivery and financing system in the United States, with consolidated revenues of $16.8 billion. Headquartered in Pittsburgh, the enterprise includes four business units, represented in the diagram below, working together to exceed customers' needs, build healthier communities and deliver an overall better health care experience. More than 35,000 Highmark Health enterprise employees proudly serve 40 million customers across the nation.
Highmark Health is the parent company of Highmark Inc., Allegheny Health Network, and HM Health Solutions.
- Highmark Inc. and its subsidiaries and affiliates provide health insurance to 5.3 million health plan members in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Delaware. Through subsidiaries that include United Concordia Companies, HM Insurance Group, Davis Vision and Visionworks, Highmark's diversified businesses provide dental insurance, vision care and related health products.
- Allegheny Health Network is the parent company of an integrated delivery network that includes eight hospitals, a community-based network of physicians' organizations, a group purchasing organization, ambulatory surgery centers, and health and wellness pavilions in western Pennsylvania.
- HM Health Solutions focuses on meeting the information technology platform and other business needs of the Highmark health plans as well as unaffiliated health insurance plans by providing proven business processes, expert knowledge and integrated cloud-based platforms.
