In 2014, Davis Vision entered into a significant new partnership arrangement with the United Auto Workers (UAW) Retiree Medical Benefits Trust (the Trust) to provide vision coverage, including eye exams and eyewear, to more than 590,000 Trust-eligible GM and Chrysler retirees and dependents.

The UAW Trust is the largest non-governmental purchaser of retiree health care benefits in the United States. "We feel privileged to partner with the Trust and view this relationship and our role in caring for the eye health needs of UAW retirees as an honor," said Celina Burns, president of Davis Vision.

During the past 20 years, Davis Vision has provided coverage for various UAW active employees and retirees, providing a unique benefit structure that includes a comprehensive provider network, key retail partnerships, an exclusive collection of frames and high-quality eyewear supplied through HVHC's state-of-the-art manufacturing labs. Davis is proud to serve the managed vision care needs of the UAW and other unions, one customer at a time.
