New CEO takes the helm
In May of 2014, David Holmberg took the helm as president and CEO of Highmark Health. A veteran member of the Highmark Inc. senior leadership team, Holmberg previously served in a series of executive positions within the company or its subsidiaries over the course of seven years. Most recently, he was president of diversified businesses for Highmark Inc., where he was responsible for businesses representing more than $3.5 billion in revenue. He also served as chief executive officer of HVHC Inc. and chief executive officer and chairman of HM Insurance Group, United Concordia Dental and San Antonio-based Visionworks, formerly Eye Care Centers of America (ECCA). Holmberg brings fresh energy to growing our enterprise. He is passionate about integrity and reliability, and his track record reflects his deep commitment to serving each and every customer.
