HM Insurance Group supports National Kidney Foundation
As a leading national stop loss carrier, HM Insurance Group sees firsthand the debilitating effects of catastrophic medical conditions. With this in mind, the organization selected The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) to be its premier charity recipient.
Kidney-related health issues add up to more than $102 million of HM Insurance Group's catastrophic stop loss claims over the past five years. Supporting the efforts of the NKF allows the organization to align its corporate philanthropy to a very visible and relevant health problem. HM Insurance Group believes that involvement with this and other charitable organizations will improve quality of life, result in fewer catastrophic claims and ultimately reduce health care costs.
HM Insurance Group is proud to serve as a national sponsor of the National Kidney Foundation's golf tournament series events and as the corporate sponsor of the NKF Classic Golf Event at Pebble Beach. The organization is also a platinum sponsor of the NKF Walk in Pittsburgh. In 2014, HM Insurance Group employees raised more than $17,000 to support the Pittsburgh NKF walk. Since 2010, the organization has contributed $500,000 in total support to the National Kidney Foundation.
